My Kingdom for a Beer

Not that I have a kingdom.. but I could go for a beer. Especially knowing that I missed all that sweet Irish Stout at Irish Fest by being over here! I meant to post last night, but my legs were abominably sore from doing lunges in the weight room, so I wasn't even motivated enough to check my e-mail. The soreness did lead me to learn however that "Biofreeze," a topical muscle pain-reliever similar to Bengay or Icy-Hot, absorbs much more easily through the skin on the backs of one's legs than it does through say, the chest and arms. This lead to several minutes of tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep.

Today was fairly uneventful... although we did get to do a major cleaning of the palace for approximately 2 1/2 hours as per the Sergeant Major's orders.

I continue making my school plans, etc. for when I get home, and I'm not sure right now what program or degree I want to pursue. Mom says the FBI needs scientists, so, perhaps I should look into that. In other plans, it looks like I already have a date for New Years (providing she's still single when I get home). From using Facebook I've been talking lately to a cute girl from Knox named Megan that I used to hang out with at band practice.

Well, off to shower and then sleep! TeddY2K out!

Those of us with no access to Facebook will take your word on cute. Of course I may have met here one of the times we came to Galesburg to see one of your concerts. She wins the "first comment" award for her posting.

Not too long and we can share a beer. I will make sure we have several choices for you at your homecoming.

Be careful out there.

Hi Sean- Lowell and I have really missed your blog. Even though we had never posted any comments, we were faithful readers. So we were extremely happy when Dawn called tonight and gave us the new address. We immediately logged on and got caught up with you. I really enjoyed looking at the pictures. You look good. It is interesting to read the temperatures that you are enduring. There is a sheriff named Arpaio in Arizona that believes that the criminals in the county jail had it too soft (especially since they committed crimes), so one thing he did tomake jail more unpleasant was to move them to tents. Well, it turns out about this time, the temperatures reached an all time high of 116. The prisoners ask for permission to remove clothing to keep cooler. Even so, the prisoners complained vehemently and called the conditions "inhumane". Sheriff Arpaio said that they should quit their belly aching, because there are soldiers in Iraq who were living in tents, with higher temperatures and wearing full gear and they hadn't committed any crimes! I guess that quieted them down. I thought it was interesting. You keep posting and we'll keep reading. Be safe.

I love Biofreeze - my chiropractor uses it on me for my ultrasound treatment.
Hope the cleaning party went well. (Not much of a party, though, was it?)

Teddy!
As the adventure of Teddy continues and all of us await word on pins and needles, it would appear you have successfully made "Megan" the talk of countless people of whose existence she is barely cognizant. I, much like everyone else not in touch with such trends, am scrambling to get myself into the fabled Facebook database. Alas, it is not in the cards for tonight. You keep making the world safe for nuclear power and I will keep making nuclear power safe for the world. I am almost done here (fingers crossed). Then we can start making glass parking lots.
Live the dream
